Our Charges

As a registered charity, Dyslexia Sparks offers a range of free and subsided services, most of which are substantially lower in cost than other providers. Please note, charges are subject to annual review. Fees below valid from September 2025.

Bursary Funding for Local Residents

Due to our ongoing fundraising efforts and the support of local trusts, we have funding available via our Bursary Scheme for residents of Hull & East Yorkshire only – for further information please click one of the below options:

Specialist Tuition Charges

Tailored tuition, delivering multisensory, engaging lessons that support neurodiverse minds. Prices are based on a 2:1 ratio.

Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessments

Children’s Assessments

Assessment With Verbal Feedback Only

During the feedback session, we will discuss your child’s abilities and skills, offering guidance and advice to support their learning. The assessment can determine whether the child has dyslexia and, if applicable, provide a formal diagnosis.

Assessment With a Comprehensive Written Report (Age 7+)

A comprehensive children’s assessment that includes a detailed written report of approximately 25–30 pages. The report outlines the child’s strengths and weaknesses, provides an overview of areas where the child is excelling or experiencing challenges, and offers tailored recommendations to support their individual learning needs. It also includes guidance on strategies to help the child thrive in their learning environment, as well as referrals to additional support services where appropriate.

Extended Assessment (Age 14-18)

This 3.5 hour assessment includes additional testing and results in a comprehensive 35–40 page written report. The report can support applications for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), Form 8 Exam Access Arrangements, and Higher Education. It outlines the individual’s strengths and weaknesses, provides personalised recommendations for their learning needs, offers guidance on strategies to help them succeed in their educational environment, and includes referrals to relevant support services where appropriate.

Adult Assessments

Private Funded Assessment - Adult

Includes a comprehensive diagnostic report (25-30 pages) outlining the individual’s strengths and weaknesses, providing an overview of areas where they may be excelling or experiencing challenges. The report offers tailored recommendations to support their specific needs and includes guidance on strategies to help them thrive in the workplace, along with referrals to additional support services where appropriate. A separate Employer Summary Report (7–10 pages) is also provided, highlighting the key and most relevant information needed to inform and support employers.

Organisation Funded Assessment - Adult

Includes a comprehensive diagnostic report (25-30 pages) sent to the employee outlining areas where they may be excelling or experiencing challenges. The report offers tailored recommendations to support their specific needs and includes guidance on strategies to help them thrive in the workplace, along with referrals to additional support services where appropriate. A separate Employer Summary Report (7–10 pages) is also provided to the employer, highlighting the key and most relevant information needed to inform managers.

Other Service Charges

Exam Access Arrangements/Form 8 Assessment

We can provide this service for students in years 9, 10 & 12. Completion of Form 8 in conjunction with schools and colleges.

Progress Assessment

Following a previous full diagnostic dyslexia assessment, we can provide a progress attainment review, including a summary report detailing the individual’s current working levels and skills.
