Do you suspect your child has dyslexia but are unsure what you can do to help? Or do you know your child has dyslexia – or an associated Specific Learning Difficulty – and want to know what support is available?

Join Dyslexia Sparks’ free online parent support group – Thursday 21st January, 10am
– and find out how we can help you and your family.
Dyslexia Sparks is Hull and East Yorkshire’s only registered charity for dyslexia. Join us for our special focus on dyslexia support online event and discover:

  • the services available to help dyslexic individuals in Hull and East Riding and how you can access them
  • how dyslexia can be diagnosed
  • how specialist tuition can improve your child’s literacy skills – as well as their confidence with reading and writing
  • details of the financial support to eligible households in the region to help withthe cost of specialist tuition and diagnostic dyslexia assessments
  • how we can help teachers and schools to support dyslexic pupils.

The session will be led by Jane Craig, Founding Director, Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor. We’ll be joined by parents and schools that Dyslexia Sparks have supported too – giving you the chance to listen to first hand experience.
You’ll also have the chance to gain advice from our specialist team and virtually meet other parents of dyslexic children.
Places are free but limited and must be booked in advance to receive the online meeting link. For further details and to book, please visit our Eventbrite page or contact us directly at nicola.markham@dyslexia-sparks.org.uk .

Team Sparks look forward to seeing you there!
