Thursday 12 September, 10-11am

Are you considering children’s dyslexia assessments but want to know more?

Is your child struggling at school? Do they find reading and writing a challenge? They may need to re-read information several times to understand it and find remembering things a problem.

Many of these are challenges dyslexics face and can often cause a lot of frustration! They find coping strategies and ways of masking learning problems.

A child may want to know why their learning journey is different to others, and confirmation of their learning difficulties with an assessment can be a relief.

Dyslexia Sparks are hosting a free webinar will be led by Jane Crag, Dyslexia Sparks’ Founder and Specialist Assessor covering essentials such as:

  • What is an assessment and who it suitable for.
  • The difference between a screener and a diagnostic dyslexia assessment.
  • What to expect during the process and on the day.
  • How a child may benefit from a diagnosis and detailed feedback.

Often parents are unsure whether an assessment is necessary – this online session aims to answer those questions and will include an open discussion at the end where you can talk with Jane.

Places are free but limited and must be booked in advance. A recording of the session will be sent to all registered attendees after the event.
