When Jade Wildbore struggled with writing and organisation at school, she never imagined she’d one day be writing copy, managing clients and running a business. Today, as Director of Mattix marketing agency, that’s exactly what she does.
We caught up with Jade to talk about her experiences of dyslexia, the challenges she’s faced and the tools that help her through a busy working day.
Proving she can be a success
Jade Wildbore is the first to admit that her writing doesn’t always land the way she intends. Sometimes her emails don’t always make sense, or copy doesn’t share what was intended. That was exactly what led to her diagnosis and further support at East Riding College.
Whilst she had some difficult experiences in early education which knocked her confidence, they also gave her a determination to prove that she could succeed.
Jade began finding her own way forward. To land her first job, she taught herself animation, showing the initiative and willingness to learn that would continue to shape her career.
”“I think they hired me because they could see I was passionate, willing to learn, and I could communicate with people.”
