Personalised Dyslexia Support for Reading, Writing & Learning

Tuition Designed for Dyslexic Learners

Dyslexia Sparks has a proven track record in championing inclusive education. Our qualified tutors tailor our dyslexia tuition to every learner, delivering multisensory, engaging lessons that support neurodiverse minds. Unlike the fast-paced environment of schools, students have the chance to revisit and secure areas they find challenging. No dyslexia diagnosis is needed – we’re here to help, and we get results.

From ÂŁ39 per session

What Amy has done for Daisy is just incredible and we cannot put into words how grateful we are as a family. I’m seeing my little girl with dreams and goals and experiencing success at school.

Nathaniel comes out of your classes positively buzzing! He's thoroughly enjoying his sessions, and I can see he’s thriving with the individual attention.

Helen has been fantastic with Jake from day 1 and adapts his sessions to suit his personality and interests. She provides us with regular updates and is as invested in his progress as much as we are.

Thank you so much for all the support that Tristan has had. It makes me feel less alone in what feels like a never-ending battle to ensure he has the support he needs.

Our Unique Approach

Students are given the time and space they need to process, reflect, and succeed. We not only understand how students learn, but also how they may feel. Many students arrive at Sparks with low self-esteem and a lack of confidence in their abilities. We improve literacy skills and give students practical strategies they can use – not just in school, but in exams, throughout everyday life, and in their future careers.

Our Lessons

Lessons focus on strengthening literacy skills such as reading, spelling, writing and comprehension. We enhance understanding and memory retention, ensuring information sticks. Alongside this, we teach practical study skills and revision strategies that help students learn more confidently and independently.

How We Work

Lessons are delivered 1:1 or paired where 2 students are carefully matched. Sessions are available as 1 hour or 1.5 hour lessons. Paired tuition can be especially valuable, allowing students to support one another and recognise that they are not alone in their dyslexia journey, which can be incredibly empowering.

Adult Tuition

Whether you’re studying, preparing for exams, building your CV, or simply wanting to feel more confident in your abilities – our specialist tuition can help. Sessions are focused and personalised, usually delivered over short, impactful timeframes such as a few weeks. Real progress, real confidence – at your pace.

All our teaching staff are enhanced DBS checked and have undergone at least Level 2 safeguarding training.

FAQs

Who is dyslexia tuition suitable for?

Tuition is suitable for children aged 7+ and adults. If you notice that your child is struggling with skills such as reading and writing, or experiencing difficulties with memory and processing information, talk to us. Your child does not need to have received a formal diagnosis of dyslexia to start.

What is different about specialist tuition for dyslexia?

We don’t rely on traditional teaching methods. Instead, we use approaches that play to the strengths of dyslexic learners. Lessons are practical, hands-on and engaging, using a variety of techniques that bring learning to life. This helps support areas that can be challenging, such as memory and processing, while building confidence along the way.

How often is tuition, and how does it fit around holidays?

Tuition is offered once a week, with breaks scheduled to align with local school holidays.

How long is the programme?

Our programme of learning is structured and cumulative, building skills step by step. Each student progresses through more than 100 teaching points at their own pace, with timelines tailored to their individual needs.

Can my home-schooled child attend tuition?

Absolutely! We warmly welcome home-schooled children and offer specialist, structured support tailored to their needs.

Teaching is not just about passing tests - it’s about empowering our students to achieve their goals, whatever they may be. That means teaching in ways that work for them, at a pace that suits them, with strategies that support where they are right now.
