Support for Organisations

Empowering Organisations, Unlocking Potential

Inclusive Workplaces

Create a more inclusive workplace by supporting dyslexic employees to reach their full potential. Dyslexia Sparks supports both dyslexic individuals and organisations as they navigate challenges on the path to success. By making just a few adjustments in the workplace, employees can work more confidently, become more productive and ultimately more successful.

What You Need to Know

Dyslexia is recognised under the Equality Act 2010, and employers are responsible for providing reasonable adjustments and support. It’s estimated that as many as 1 in 5 people are dyslexic, and for adults in the workplace, dyslexia can bring challenges that aren’t always visible to others. Dyslexic individuals are often skilled problem-solvers, which can sometimes hide the difficulties they face from employers.

Diagnostic Assessments

Organisations can refer an employee for a diagnostic dyslexia assessment with us. This can be done either online or face-to-face. The assessment can confirm whether a person has dyslexia, highlight their strengths and challenges, and provide practical, tailored recommendations for support in the workplace.

Awareness Training

Our training sessions enable managers and teams to understand and address the challenges dyslexia can create. You will gain a deeper understanding, build empathy, and leave with a fresh perspective on how people with dyslexia see the world. Leading to a more inclusive and equal workplace where everyone can thrive.

Policy Guidance

We can support companies in developing clear and effective policy guidance on discrimination, equality, and inclusion. By sharing expertise on neurodiversity and best practices, we help organisations create policies that promote fairness, understanding, and equal opportunities for all employees within your organisation.

Consultations & Needs Assessments

We offer personalised consultations and workplace needs assessments to help employers better support dyslexic employees. Whether it’s guidance for a single team member or advice for an entire team, we work closely with organisations to understand their specific needs. Our service includes practical recommendations, expert guidance, and ongoing support.

Finding a Diagnosis in Adulthood – Emma’s Story

Emma’s manager started to notice some problems with her writing. She would structure sentences in an unnatural order, jump from one thing to another, and take a lot of time to complete written work. This led to a referral to occupational health, and subsequently a dyslexia assessment with Dyslexia Sparks, providing her with a formal diagnosis of dyslexia at the age of 43.

City Healthcare Partnership has a working relationship with Dyslexia Sparks, referring their employees for dyslexia assessments and ongoing support. Emma calls for other organisations to support staff members with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
